On December 12, 2023, FinCEN updated its Frequently Asked Questions on Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting. The FAQs aim to provide answers to inquiries received relating to the Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting Rule.

Updates to the FAQs includes those related to the filing and reporting timeline while new Q&As were issued to address questions on reporting process, reporting company, reporting requirements, updating reports, compliance/enforcement, requesting FinCEN identifier, and third-party service providers.
