Six Virtual Fair Lending Training Programs!

Welcome to the Compliance Cohort where we offer six different online Fair Lending training programs to meet your needs. Each of our fair lending training programs is delivered with our “virtual classroom” approach where an instructor is seen presenting a training seminar in front of slides, just like you would experience in a live, in-person seminar.

The fifth online fair lending training seminar we have available is the Disparate Impact. The Disparate Impact training program is designed to take a deep dive into the complicated fair lending topic of disparate impact. The program will begin with a review of the three types of discrimination recognized by the courts and explain the difference of each. Next, the program will discuss what some of the regulators currently say about disparate impact before discussing the history of the topic and the conflict that financial institutions often now have. Next, the program will discuss the current stance from HUD as well as what the CFPB appears to be doing, before reviewing a number of examples of disparate impact that you can use as examples of what to look for in your organization. 6 - Regulation B

The last online fair lending training seminar we have in our store is the Regulation B Training. The Regulation B Compliance Class is designed to provide attendees with a deep dive into the requirements of Regulation B. The program follows the regulation, but does so in an easy-to-understand format as we have taken the applicable parts of the regulation (and commentary) and put it into a manual that is easy to read and follow along. As is the case with Regulation B, this program focuses on the discrimination prohibitions of Regulation B (including defining who is a protected class applicant), incentives for self testing, government monitoring (GMI) requirements, Adverse Action requirements, and appraisal delivery requirements.
