Forward Thinking 2023: Looking for Upcoming Compliance Changes & Hot Topics
Each year brings new compliance changes, concerns, and risk to financial institutions. As a compliance professional, you are tasked with not only keeping up with these changes, but being prepared when changes do arise so that you can quickly act and make any adjustments necessary to reduce the risk of non-compliance in your organization. The challenge with this, of course, is that there is only so much time in the day - meaning that having a head start on upcoming compliance changes can help you to be as prepared as possible for when the actual changes is upon you.
As is the case each year, the regulators have been giving us a number of hints as to what areas we may see compliance change in during 2023. Whether it is a new rule, enhanced focus in examinations, or another type of compliance-related change, we are surely going to see our fair share of activity this coming year.
Our Forward Thinking 2023 program is designed to look at regulatory compliance changes, hot topics, and other activity that could occur during 2023 and beyond. In presenting this program, our goal is to help attendees understand what compliance-related rules and hot topics they might expect to see during the next year so that they can be as prepared as possible when the change actually takes place and they are tasked with ensuring their institution is in compliance with the change.
Attendees can expect the following takeaways from this program:
Understand the CFPB’s current regulatory agenda and what new rules are heading our way in the future;
A review of recent hot topics and other key focuses of regulators so that attendees can determine what action may be needed in their organizations;
If they choose, attendees will be able to create a todo list of things to think through and discuss in their organizations
Our program will begin by taking a look at the things that have been happening with the CFPB, as well as reviewing the upcoming rules in their pipeline. After that, we will look at potential rules and changes that might come in 2023 from agencies other than the CFPB. Agencies like the FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, NCUA, FinCEN, and even the Department of Justice haven given hints of what they are planning in the future, and we take out our compliance crystal ball to see what we can see.
Specifically, we will spend some time on the following topics:
While this program is specifically designed for compliance and risk management professionals in banks and credit unions, this program would also be good for anyone who is wanting to stay up-to-date with regulatory compliance change, including auditors, compliance specialists, senior management, and others.
This program runs 2 hours and 19 minutes, includes 3 different training videos and provides a comprehensive manual for attendees to follow along.
