Compliance Class: The HMDA Partial Exemption

SPECIAL OFFER: Get $40 off through Wednesday October 10, 2018. Use code “columbus2018” at checkout.

Relief for small HMDA filers is here!  On August 31, 2018, the CFPB issued an “interpretive and procedural rule” which implements and clarifies HMDA changes made by the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act.  These new changes reduce the HMDA burdens for small filers by exempting them from reporting a number of data points on their LAR, though HMDA reporting is still required for both large and small HMDA filers.

While one would expect these changes to be fairly simple, the reality is there are quite a few complexities to the new rules.  As the rule became effective immediately upon publication in the Federal Register, it is important for smaller HMDA filers to know if and how this rule applies to them.

Therefore, we are offering a Compliance Class which explains how the new partial exemption applies to HMDA filers.

The Virtual Classroom Approach

All of our Compliance Classes are presented in our virtual classroom approach.  This approach is designed to bring the presenter to you and includes a video of the presenter in front of a slide presentation that replicates a typical seminar environment.  In addition, our presenters take a three-part approach to compliance instruction: to educate, to empower, and to entertain. This is achieved by focusing on relevant topics, speaking in simple to understand, layman's terms, and by keeping it light and humorous whenever possible.  We have found that this "3-E" approach allow students to learn as quickly and effectively as possible. And, it adds a little bit of fun to an otherwise dreadful topic.

When you purchase this compliance class, you get instant access to the instructional video for 90 days.  You will also receive an electronic version of our instruction manual to keep.
