Key observations from the data collected from six large BNPL firms include:
The volume of BNPL loans continues to grow, albeit at a slower pace than in previous years;
The number of BNPL users has expanded in recent years;
Consumers are using BNPL more frequently and taking on larger loan amounts each year;
The incidence of late fees has declined; and
Charge-off rates have declined.
